Snacktime

It is easy to feel like you can't eat a very local snack as the garden season comes to an end.  I have been amazed though as I looke around just how many good, local fresh things I can toss together for our snacks.  Granted it does take some consideration when you do your shopping, having things to chop rather than things that come out of bags... but once your fridge is stocked, your kids are sure to have a tasty, healthy snack to fuel them through the morning or afternoon.  Our selection today was pepperoni from Black Earth Meats, definitely tastes more like a summer sausage than pepperoni, which I prefer for snacktime,  Cedar Grove Aged Cheddar, Sprouts from the Coop, can't remember the farm, and Kohlrabi from The Tree Farm.
